Complete with a beautiful beach and idyllic Pacific Ocean views, the Malibu Beach Inn is a boutique hotel that made for a great two-night stay with my parents back in September. No detail was overlooked at this beachfront property as we were welcomed with macaroons and Evian water upon arrival. We also received complimentary truffles that evening and the following afternoon!
Lodging
Our room had plenty of space for all three of us with a king bed and queen sofa sleeper. There was also a cozy fireplace along with a breathtaking balcony that looked over the ocean. The room was very “beach appropriate” with warm coastal colours on the walls and wooden furniture for an earthy feel.
Dining
We ate really good breakfasts and a dinner at the inn’s Carbon Beach Club Restaurant. The restaurant uses only fresh and locally sourced ingredients to create seasonal menus. There is the option to dine outside with ocean views, or indoors where it is a bit warmer.
Location
The Malibu Beach Inn is conveniently located a short walk from the Malibu Pier, and close to hiking trails, high-end boutiques, and water sports. Although the beach on the property is gorgeous, it is not suitable for swimming due to the number of rocks. However, we did enjoy walking along it and saw some people sunbathing as the hotel provides sunbathing chairs upon request.
Malibu Beach Inn is a gem that you won’t want to miss the next time you find yourself in the Malibu area!
